Debby earned her BS in Music Education from West Chester University as a piano and clarinet major. She earned her MA in Music Therapy from Immaculata University. Her thesis was titled “The Social Behavior of Alzheimer’s Disease Patients Related to Music Participation“. She has worked as a Music Therapist in long term care and has over 25 years of teaching piano and clarinet to students as young as 4.5 to 102. Debby has firsthand experience teaching children with super powers as her son has Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Her specialty is crafting adaptive techniques to help children with special needs feel successful during music lessons and beyond.....
Debby taught my 3 kiddos piano lessons, ages 5, 7, and 12. She was very patient, especially with my middle child who has a tough time sitting still and focusing at times. Debby made great suggestions for age appropriate materials for each child, which helped make learning easier and more fun for them. I saw all of the kids make really wonderful progress each week with Debby. My oldest loved how Debby would help him work on songs he was interested in. She even gave him a few great pointers on Clarinet, which he plays at school.

Ms. Debby has been providing piano lessons to my girls for the last 6 years. My girls have very different personalities and Debby knows how to get the most out of both of them.
