Emma Vergis
Emma has been selected the September-November Student of the Month! The initial lesson with Emma proved she was a cheerful and endearing student. I observed her passion for playing the piano and her eagerness to share her interests with me. It is evident that any child encounters significant challenges when playing on a baby grand piano, such as being unable to place her feet on the pedals or reading music on top of the piano. Her father has taken the initiative to purchase a piano pedal extender to enable her to learn pedal techniques.
Notably, Emma possesses exceptional proficiency in reading music, a remarkable accomplishment at such a young age. Her father, who had previously received piano lessons during childhood, has extended additional support to her during the week.
For mid week help I encourage all my students with the opportunity for additional mentoring via fun virtual lessons, text and email. I find that Emma enjoys all of this and really takes advantage of the extra practice to push herself to play better. She loves sending me her practice videos and I eagerly anticipates receiving them.
Emma’s enthusiasm for learning new pieces is palpable, and infectious. I eagerly anticipate observing her musical development over the years. Teaching her has been an enriching experience.
