Susie Raisman
When I first met Susie, she is one of the most sincere and generous children I have ever encountered. During lessons, she demonstrates proficiency, as if she has been playing the piano for over one year. She eagerly requests to play more challenging pieces. While I am delighted by her desire to play more difficult pieces, it requires time, practice and persistence to attain that level. As with any new student, one challenge of playing the piano is learning to read the notes on the grand staff and locating them on the piano keys. To assist her, I have been able to use various methods to modify various pieces to suit her skill level.
Since starting piano lessons, Susie has made remarkable progress. She is enthusiastic about piano lessons and playing, which has encouraged her family and friends to take up the instrument as well. Her brother, a school friend, and two family friends have all begun playing the piano. When Susie is passionate about something, it is evident to everyone.
I am thoroughly impressed by her enthusiasm and eagerness to learn, which makes my job more enjoyable and interesting. I look forward to teaching her and watching her grow as a musician and into a young lady. So congratulations Susie, my April Student of the Month!

About the Student of the Month
Susie began formally playing piano in August 2024. She has a brother, Sammy, who she encouraged to start piano after watching her perform. She loves music and began playing piano from beginner books she could teach herself. She also loves to dance and is on a competitive dance team. She enjoys traveling and trying new things.
